| Title: | ND Crumbles under LSU's Play |
| Story: | LSU was the better team last night. On paper. On the field. Coaching. Offense. Defense. I cannot be mad about our team. Notre Dame got outplayed, PERIOD. The first half seemed like we were going to keep the game close but LSU scored a quick TD right before the half and deflated any momentum Notre Dame had going into half. The second half they came out flat and just didn't look like they wanted to be there. I thought a big momentum changer was the fumble which Wooden stripped and fumbled out of bounds. It was not they he didnt get his feet in, he didn't have control of it. Ambrose pulled the ball into his side and totally missed and it ricocheted out of bounds.
I was not a big Coach Weis fan last night. I think the main is a genius when it comes to X's and O's and he set the tone for the night when he went for a fake punt after being stopped. I was not a big fan of Jeff Samardzija. I thought him throwing the ball in the face of the LSU db was stupid and immature. If Lou Holtz was coaching and Jeff did got a stupid penalty, Lou would have grabbed his facemask and ripped his ear off. I thought Charlie should have been more vocal nad showed his team who is in charge.Overall I was disappointed in Notre Dame and the way they played in the second half. Offensively I would have given Darius Walker the MVP nod. Defensively, David Bruton! Now I am going to have to wait another 210 days until kickoff next year. What to do? How do I get rid of this bitter taste in my mouth?
