Lane Clelland committed today(5/3/2007). This is a huge get for the Irish Offensive Line. He has great feet and moves well. Scouts are saying he is undersized but the reason for this is due to wrestling during the offseason as a heavyweight. He weights 265 lbs. and 6'5". He is one of the most coveted in the eastern part of the US. He is a perfect fit for the Notre Dame offensive line since he can move between guard and tackle. He had tons of offers from Big Ten, SEC and ACC. He is very strong for his size and well get better with hitting the gym more. He is going to fit perfect into the Notre Dame spread offense which Charlie Weis loves to play. This year may be different due to the fact that there is a new qb and a whole new line.
