Title:Notre Dame vs Michigan State - 09/23/2006
Story:

Once again Notre Dame starts off slow again after there lousy performance vs Michigan. Michigan State went up 17-0 after the first quarter. Notre Dame started to put things together in the beginning of the second quarter with a TD pass to Mcknight. MSU strikes back really quick and after a penalty on hitting the qb late evolves into a fight on the sideline. Brady Quinn throws a quick TD to Baldwin (MSU Linebaker). Baldwin takes it in for the TD. 2 minutes and change later, Quinn hits Samardzija for a quick strike. MSU drives back up the field and hit Reed right before the half.

I was so frustrated with the first half that I left my buddies house to go home and scream at the tv more and listen to the commentary of the game more. There was too much commotion going on at the house. I was sick of listening to one friends phone ringing from PSU fans saying how much ND sucks even though we killed them two week before. When I get home the second half is starting and Brady hits Carlson for a rumbling bumbling 62 yard TD. Wow.... Then the rain starts to pore and I am getting really nervous but I will never give up on ND until the clock stops. Caulcrick rumbles for a wet TD run. The field is soaked and the wind is blowing terrible. It seemed like the game was over being down by three scores entering the forth.

Then lady luck entered the picture and the rain stopped. Jeff catches a 43 yard pass for a TD from Quinn. With 5 minutes late, Chinedum Ndukwe strips the ball from Stanton. Stanton was trying to do too much when he should have just went down. Chinedum jams his hand into his grip and pulls. POP! The ball comes out and it is a turnover. Several plays later Mcknight is catching another TD. All we need from the defense is one more stop! Come on! Terrall Lambert picks the ball on his MSU 20 and wiggles back to the end zone and I start giggling. I was gitty like a little school kiddie! This was one of the most historical games I have seen by ND. It was almost as good as Bettis and Brooks vs PSU!
