Robert Hughes is a big pickup from the stable of running backs Notre Dame currently has. He is a big body who rareyl gets tackled after the first hit. He does not have the blistering speed of Allen or Prince, but he has enough breakaway speed and power to bowl over people like a former ND running back named BETTIS. Now our stable has Allen, Prince, Alridge, Thomas and now Hughes, Notre Dame has a variety of backs who could take over the game and bring back power and speed. Do you think Weis is not going to change his single backfield to multiple looks in the future.
